Summary:

The Casino Host is an integral part of the casino team. This position focuses on delivering exceptional experiences for high value guests by offering front of house support and employing sales strategies to foster long-term loyalty. They regularly assess their own performance to exceed goals and drive continuous improvement. Performs duties in a guest service friendly, efficient and profitable manner that promotes superior team member, guest and vendor relations

Essential Functions:

  • Demonstrates soft communications skills including anticipation of guest needs, and salutations.
  • Continuously be knowledgeable about marketing activities, players advantage club benefits, and amenities offered at 12 Tribes Colville Casinos.
  • Understand and utilize policies and procedures.
  • Builds a professional but meaningful relationship with high value and potential high value guests.
  • Promotes marketing activities to guests by utilizing marketing collateral, and providing additional relevant information.
  • Maintains high level of knowledge of the player tracking system to pull reports and analyze the opportunity for potential growth.
  • Understand the math behind how guests’ value equates to the growth of gaming revenue.
  • Must be able to perform the Player Advantage Club functions when assisting a high value guest.
  • Actively identify potential high value guests while serving loyal high value guests; paying close attention to acquisition, retention, growth and reactivation guest lifecycles.
  • Ability to develop a professional relationship with high value guests.
  • Provides incentives and reinvestments to guests for an increase in gaming revenue by utilizing player development initiatives and measuring performance results.
  • Routinely check performance to make adjustments utilizing qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Assist with exceeding revenue goals for revenue generating departments.
  • Tracks guest’s preferences and activities in online communication platform for the purpose of reference tools and to track progress.
  • Proactively finds ways to develop players through sales leads, utilizing registration logs, communicating special needs and feedback, and any other reasonable effort required to exceed goals.
  • Coordinate the seamless touchpoints between departments and high value guests to ensure a seamless guests journey while visiting a 12 Tribes Colville Casino’s property.
  • Ability to diffuse situations of conflict for a high value guest.
  • Attend on/offsite relationship building activities with the high value guests and potential gamers.
  • Operates and maintains office equipment, including but not limited to: computer, programmable telephone system, programmable fax and multiuse photocopier.
  • Complies with all applicable laws, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Provides a high standard of professionalism and guest service.
  • Must maintain confidentiality.
  • Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Must be at least 18 years or older.
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years experience that demonstrates the ability to fulfill the requirements of the position.
  • Must be able to travel between sites on short notice.
  • Ability to understand, speak, communicate and read the English language.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to deliver a service level that creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return, giving each guests a positive, memorable experience.
  • Commitment to routinely go above and beyond in the accomplishment of the position's responsibilities in an effort to play a role in the achievement of organizational goals.
  • Ability to work in a high stress work environment, handle fast paced adjustments and resolve conflicts in a professional manner.
  • Ability to give and receive constructive criticism for perspective balance.
  • Must be able to create standard business documents such as memorandums, presentations, email, etc.
  • Must be computer literate with proficiency in windowsbased programs and knowledge to operate general office equipment, software and databases.
  • Ability to create Excel spreadsheets and analyze and comprehend the data for decisionmaking.
  • Ability to analyze data from multiple information ports by comparing and contrasting data to draw a conclusion or to identify trends.
  • Ability to communicate professionally in written, verbal, and nonverbal format while utilizing a friendly tone, word choice, and body language.
  • Have a keen eye for attention to detail, exceptional grammar, and writing skills that are error free.
  • Highly organized, and the ability to follow an established infrastructure of file locations.
  • Strong public peaking abilities and stage presence.
  • Ability to communicate technical information and to interact with a wide variety of groups and individuals inside and outside the organization.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work processes in a highvolume environment in order to meet schedules and timelines.
  • Ability to work with an external vendor in respect to their hours of operation, and lead times.
  • Will be required to obtain and maintain a Class 12 or 13 Mixology (MAST) permit, whichever is applicable.
  • Must successfully complete Title 31, Banking Secrecy Act training, if applicable, upon hire and annually.
  • Ability to work various shifts including evenings, holidays, weekends and overtime.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Tribal Gaming License.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

  • Manual and finger dexterity as required to perform job duties.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to frequently sit, walk, or stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to frequently bend, squat and reach.
  • Frequently exposed to a high level of noise in the work environment.
  • Frequently exposed to tobacco smoke.
  • Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, including variations in temperature and precipitation.
  • May be exposed to belligerent, combative and/or intoxicated guests.
  • Ability to drive in adverse weather conditions.
  • Sufficient visual acuity to write, recognize printed materials, computer screen, and notice nonverbal behavior.
  • Speech and hearing ability to project voice to small and large audiences, carry on radio/telephone conversations, hear and grasp verbal communications and equipment prompts.
