About the Role
Peyton & Byrne on Great Portland Street is evolving! We are currently refurbishing our space to introduce an evening wine bar service alongside our established daytime cafe. We are looking for a reliable, versatile Chef to join us for this exciting new chapter.This is a unique role offering a 4-day work week with consistent 12pm – 8pm shifts—perfect for a chef looking for a great work-life balance without sacrificing the buzz of a central London service.
Key Responsibilities

Solo Evening Management: You will be the sole chef responsible for the evening service, managing everything from final prep to plating our new light supper menu.

Daytime Support: Working with the wider team from 12pm to prepare seasonal salads, artisan sandwiches, and savoury tarts.

Independent Service: Leading a smooth, high-quality service for our wine bar guests, ensuring every small plate meets our premium standards.

Kitchen Ownership: Maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards while working independently in the evenings.
What You Need

Independence: Proven experience running a section or kitchen on your own. You must be comfortable making decisions and managing your own workflow.
