Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling transactions accurately, and maintaining a welcoming environment for all customers. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. The Cashier will play a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction and supporting the overall operations of our establishment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their visit
  • Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems
  • Perform data entry for sales and inventory records with attention to detail
  • Assist customers with inquiries, product recommendations, and upselling opportunities
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area
  • Communicate effectively with customers, demonstrating good etiquette
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and efficient service delivery
  • Analyze sales trends and customer feedback to improve service quality and sales performance

Experience

  • Previous experience in retail, sales, or customer service is preferred but not required
  • Strong communication skills in English is a plus
  • Familiarity with data entry and analysis skills to manage transactions and inventory records effectively
  • Ability to perform upselling techniques to enhance sales opportunities
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining professionalism
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on providing outstanding customer service

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.60 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
