Job description Company Overview: As a Local Delivery Driver with an Amazon Delivery Service Partner (DSP), you will be responsible for delivering customer packages accurately, safely, and on time. You will drive a company-provided van, follow assigned delivery routes, and use handheld devices to scan and track packages. This role is well-suited for dependable and motivated individuals who enjoy independent work on the road. By demonstrating professionalism and providing outstanding customer service, you will represent both the DSP and Amazon. Role and Responsibilities: In this position, you will carry out timely deliveries while adhering to safety standards and ensuring a positive customer experience. • Load packages into delivery vehicles at the Amazon station • Operate company vehicles safely along designated routes • Deliver 100–200+ packages daily to residential and business addresses • Use handheld devices for navigation, scanning, and package tracking • Follow traffic regulations and comply with Amazon safety policies • Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of the delivery van • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections • Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members • Return undelivered packages and complete end-of-day procedures • Provide courteous and professional service to customers Required Skills and Experience: • Minimum age of 21 years • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening (as required) • Physical ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs • Comfortable walking, climbing stairs, and driving for extended periods • Proficiency with smartphone applications for navigation and tracking Preferred Qualifications: • Previous experience in delivery or transportation • Strong customer service and communication skills • Dependable attendance and effective time management • Familiarity with local routes and delivery areas • Team-oriented with a positive and professional attitude Compensation and Benefits: • Competitive hourly pay (e.g., $18–$22/hour) • Paid training and orientation • Paid time off and holiday pay (where applicable) • Health, dental, and vision insurance for eligible employees • Company-provided delivery van, fuel, uniform, and equipment • Performance-based bonuses and career advancement opportunities About Amazon DSP Program: Amazon Delivery Service Partners (DSPs) are independent businesses that partner with Amazon to deliver packages to customers.
