About the position

Responsibilities

Embrace the mission of The Aleut Corporation and Aleut Ventures, LLC.
Greet guests to the Adak Island Inn and provide room keys.
Provide maintenance support to the Adak Island Inn to ensure housing units are functional and safe.
Perform general plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs.
Inspect equipment and systems to identify problems.
Conduct preventive maintenance on plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
Maintain and repair vehicles as needed.
Build and assemble machines according to requirements.
Troubleshoot engine performance problems and make repair recommendations.
Conduct annual and routine maintenance on equipment.
Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems.
Clean and apply lubricant to machinery components as needed.
Follow health, environment, and safety guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
At least two years of related experience.
Must possess and maintain an Alaska driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

Five years of progressive experience as a diesel mechanic or a combination of experience, education, and training.
