About the position

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of a comprehensive supplier diversity program strategy that successfully delivers targeted outcomes.
  • Collaborate with category managers and business unit stakeholders to develop supplier diversity goals at the business unit and category levels and ensure that supplier diversity goals are factored into supplier selection and spend management decisions.
  • Monitor and report progress toward supplier diversity goals to key stakeholders, and execute interventions as needed to ensure goals are achieved.
  • Develop scorecard and KPI metrics to measure and track progress toward supplier diversity program goals.
  • Manage diverse supplier registration process and serve as a liaison by referring diverse suppliers to category managers for evaluation and consideration.
  • Develop a deep understanding of current and future needs of the procurement organization with regards to supplier diversity, and serve as the subject matter expert on supplier diversity matters within the procurement organization.
  • Establish, maintain, and act as the point person for multiple large, complex, and/or business critical relationships with diverse suppliers, advocacy groups, government agencies, and nonprofits.
  • Identify key strategic suppliers with whom to establish strategic alliances beyond their existing contractual agreements to report on their supplier diversity activities.
  • Measure and report on the economic impact of diverse supplier spend and non-profit partnerships.
  • Manage 2nd tier program including, training and communications, and collaborate with suppliers to ensure compliance, tracking and reporting of 2nd tier spend.
  • Serve as the functional owner and accountable party for all supplier diversity data reporting, which includes reporting to both internal stakeholders and external stakeholders.
  • Responsible for ensuring that reporting due dates are met and collaborating with the procurement analytics and reporting team to fulfill evolving supplier diversity reporting obligations.
  • Plan, execute, and facilitate supplier diversity events hosted by Allstate, including large events that are highly visible and highly complex.
  • Positively and professionally represent Allstate at supplier diversity events and conferences, while serving as an ambassador of the Allstate brand.
  • Serve on both internal and external supplier diversity committees.
  • Maintain supplier diversity content on internal and external websites.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of procurement and/or supplier diversity program management experience.
  • Prior supplier diversity program management experience within a large and complex organization is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in a global organization preferred.
  • Ability to successfully develop and implement strategies.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong presentation skills and comfortable speaking in front of large audiences.
  • Comfortable working in a high-profile role.
  • Excellent project management and prioritization skills.
  • Strong relationship management skills and a high level of emotional intelligence.

Nice-to-haves

  • CPSM and/or CPSD certification preferred.
