<h3><strong>Job Overview</strong></h3>
<p>We are seeking experienced and disciplined <strong>Security Officers</strong> to join the safety and security team aboard leading <strong>international cruise ships</strong>. Preference will be given to <strong>candidates based in South Africa</strong> with a background in military, law enforcement, or private security services.</p>
<p>The role involves maintaining safety, enforcing shipboard policies, protecting guests and crew, and responding to security incidents with professionalism and integrity.</p>

<h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3>

<li>Maintain the safety and security of all passengers, crew, and ship assets</li>
<li>Conduct routine patrols, access control, and surveillance monitoring</li>
<li>Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, or breaches</li>
<li>Assist with crowd control during embarkation, disembarkation, and events</li>
<li>Enforce maritime safety regulations and company protocols</li>
<li>Conduct investigations and write incident reports when required</li>
<li>Support port security inspections and liaise with local authorities</li>
<li>Maintain logs and documentation per maritime law and ISPS Code</li>

<h3><strong>Qualifications and Requirements</strong></h3>

<li>South African citizenship or permanent residency strongly preferred</li>
<li>Minimum of 2–3 years' experience in military, police force, or maritime/private security</li>
<li>Valid passport and clean criminal record</li>
<li>STCW training and/or experience in maritime security is highly desirable</li>
<li>Knowledge of international security protocols (ISPS Code)</li>
<li>Fluent in English (written and verbal)</li>
<li>Physically fit and able to work long shifts onboard</li>
<li>Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions</li>
<li>Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills</li>
