<p>Traveling Project Manager </p><p> </p><p>6-month contract w/ extensions </p><p> </p><p>Overview</p><p>We are seeking a highly autonomous <strong>Traveling Project Manager</strong> to support the launch and ongoing execution of projects across <strong>8 West Coast locations</strong>. This role will own planning, execution, and reporting across multiple concurrent sites, serving as the connective tissue between executive stakeholders and on-the-ground teams. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, can manage dependencies at scale, and is comfortable traveling as needed to ensure project milestones are met.</p><p>This role is critical to enabling repeatable, scalable site launches through disciplined planning, strong risk management, and clear stakeholder communication.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Own end-to-end project execution for multi-site initiatives, from early planning through launch and stabilization</li><li>Build and maintain project plans, milestones, sub-gates, and dependencies using Gantt charts and PM tools</li><li>Backward-plan from launch milestones, incorporating bi-monthly gates and sub-plans to track progress</li><li>Manage dependencies, trade-offs, and risk across a growing portfolio (scaling from 3 to 9+ sites)</li><li>Provide clear status reporting and performance updates to stakeholders; contribute to SOW-based reporting</li><li>Serve as the primary point of accountability for timelines, deliverables, and execution cadence</li><li>Coordinate daily 30-minute syncs with teams, ensuring all workstreams are tracked and organized</li><li>Travel to each site approximately <strong>once per month</strong>, with flexibility for urgent, short-notice travel as needed</li><li>Act as a traveling PM capable of rapid on-site engagement to resolve blockers and support launches</li><li>Translate complex plans and data for multiple audiences—from executive stakeholders to site-level teams</li><li>Support data entry and daily project updates to ensure accurate, real-time visibility</li><li>Apply agile principles to iterate plans, manage change, and respond to evolving site needs</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Required Qualifications</p><ul><li><strong>3+ years</strong> of experience in project management, operations, or multi-site program execution</li><li><strong>CAPM required</strong>; <strong>PMP strongly preferred</strong></li><li>MBA preferred, or equivalent experience managing complex, multifaceted projects</li><li>Strong proficiency with <strong>Microsoft Office Suite</strong> (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.)</li><li>Hands-on experience with:</li><li>Gantt charts (intermediate to advanced)</li><li>Dependency planning and trade-off analysis</li><li>Risk and contingency planning</li><li>RACI matrices and structured PM frameworks</li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage projects remotely with a high degree of autonomy</li><li>Proven self-starter who takes ownership, makes decisions, and operates independently</li><li>Comfortable working in fast-moving, startup-style environments with limited playbooks</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Preferred Background</p><ul><li>Experience managing <strong>multi-site operations or launches</strong></li><li>Exposure to engineering, construction, infrastructure, or technical environments</li><li>Strong data analysis skills with the ability to synthesize insights across sites</li><li>Ability to comfortably “code-switch” communication style between executive stakeholders and site teams</li><li>Familiarity with agile planning principles (SDLC experience <strong>not required</strong>)</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Travel Expectations</p><ul><li>Monthly travel to each assigned across Middle / West Coast sites (approximately 8 locations)</li><li>Willingness and ability to travel on short notice for urgent project needs</li></ul><p></p>
