SUMMARY:
Phone Screener is responsible for conducting initial phone interviews with job applicants to assess qualifications, experience, and cultural fit before advancing candidates to the next stage of the hiring process. This role ensures a positive candidate experience and supports the recruitment team in maintaining an efficient and effective hiring pipeline. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential Functions):
  • Make outbound calls to applicants and conduct structured phone screenings based on predefined criteria.
  • Verify candidate information, including work history, skills, and availability.
  • Assess communication skills and overall suitability for the role.
  • Document screening results accurately in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and other tracking tools.
  • Provide candidates with information about the position and next steps in the hiring process.
  • Collaborate with recruiters to prioritize candidates.
  • Maintain confidentiality and compliance with company policies, procedures, and employment regulations.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Perform other duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of our business.
2. Assist with special projects or related tasks upon request.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow structured interview guides and evaluate responses objectively.
  • Basic knowledge of recruitment processes and HR best practices.
  • Comfortable working with ATS or similar systems.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Better than average computer knowledge and some experience with Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Must be able to work independently and diligently from your home office without direct supervision.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Must be able to read and interpret technical product materials plus, Verizon and Wireless World policies and procedures in English.

  • Must be able to manipulate a computer keyboard with accuracy.
