Old Europe Desserts is looking for a full time pastry assistant for its downtown Greenville location! Must have at least one year of commercial baking experience necessary. Must have good communication skills. Ability to work within a team and attention to detail are also critical. Applicant must have the ability to work efficiently and unsupervised. Responsibilities:
- Baking all breakfast pastries/croissants
- Breakfast item inventory and preparation i.e. croissants, cookies, banana bread etc.
- Making delegated items from head pastry chef as needed i.e. macarons, batter, buttercreams etc.
- Communicate with mid-shift about prep and changes daily
- Decorating pastry items and cakes
- Responsible for organizing refrigerated case and breakfast display
- Maintain a clean workspace and storage area; including sweeping, mopping and washing dishes
- Communicating about ordering and inventory needs
- Restocking pastry case on weekends
