<p><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p> <ul> <li>To support the Health, Safety, and Environment HSE department in implementing and maintaining safety policies, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, and promoting a safe working environment for all employees and contractors.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Assist in the implementation of HSE policies, procedures, and programs.</li> <li>Support HSE officers/managers in daily safety operations.</li> <li>Help maintain and update safety documentation and records.</li> <li>Conduct routine site safety inspections and report unsafe acts or conditions.</li> <li>Monitor the use of Personal Protective Equipment PPE and ensure compliance.</li> <li>Follow up on corrective actions for identified hazards.</li> <li>Assist in reporting, recording, and investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses.</li> <li>Participate in root cause analysis and maintain incident logs.</li> <li>Help organize HSE training sessions, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns.</li> <li>Distribute safety materials signs, posters, leaflets across work areas.</li> <li>Maintain HSE records such as inspection checklists, permits-to-work, and training attendance.</li> <li>Prepare periodic HSE reports for management review.</li> <li>Assist in conducting emergency drills and maintaining emergency equipment.</li> <li>Ensure first aid boxes and firefighting equipment are regularly checked and refilled.</li> <li>Support compliance with local, national, and company HSE regulations.</li> <li>Assist during external or internal HSE audits.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications and Skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum of OND / HND / B.Sc. in Environmental Science, Safety Management, Engineering, or a related field.</li> <li>1–2 years of experience in a similar role industrial, manufacturing, or construction environment preferred.</li> <li>Basic knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.</li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint.</li> <li>Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills.</li> <li>Certification in HSE Level 1, 2, or 3 is an added advantage.</li> </ul>
